Transient Spaces: Sound Spinning

In this performative soundwalk, a loudspeaker playing live sounds is spun in circles at different speeds and radii. As the audience follows the walk through various rooms, the sounds of the surroundings are incorporated into the listening experience enabling listeners to experience the successive spaces in their respective acoustic properties and temporality.

Moto Ondoso: Moved by Waves

Moto ondoso senses water waves and translates them into sound waves, reproduced via a tromba marina that serves as a resonating monochord. (in cooperation with Johannes Kiel)

Spatial Entanglements – a Relational Musical Instrument

The performative installation Spatial Entanglements combines immersive sound, wireless interfaces and a spherical loudspeaker topology to create a relational musical instrument that invites the audience to playfully explore immersive sound.

Random(e) Spaces

A generative composition that combines granular synthesis and spatial sound movement and invites the audience to include both the computer-generated sounds, which are reproduced via the spherically arranged loudspeakers, and the sound events of the surroundings in their listening experience.

Of Speeds and Slownesses – Co-composing with a Giant Snail

Of Speeds and Slownesses provides a musical interface for the sonic collaboration with a giant snail of the species Achatina Fulica within a generative composition. Collaborating with other species encourages to reconsider one‘s own temporality.

The SonIcosahedron – a Spatial (auto)Instrument

A 12-channel full-sphere loudspeaker dome in the shape of an icosahedron, constructed as a tensegrity structure, invites the listener, positioned at the center of the sphere, to delve into an immersive sound experience using a a handheld interface designed in the same topological shape as the loudspeaker dome.
